courses in Central London and they will take place at the St Giles Hotel in the West End of London near Tottenham Court Road tube station. 
 

5th & 6th February, 2016

11th & 12th March, 2016

"Family Law, Wills, Probate, Powers of Attorney and Criminal Law"

 

25th & 26th March

"The Terminology of Employment Law, of Company Law and of Intellectual Property Law"

ITI & IOL members can claim CPD points (six hours per day).

These are intensive interactive courses with a maximum of 12 participants

Course notes and other materials will be distributed by email to participants approximately one week in advance. Lexacom does not provide hard copies.

The courses are in English and are aimed at translators, of whatever nationality, who translate legal documents FROM or INTO English, and legal interpreters who work with English. No knowledge of English Law is required, so the courses are also suitable for beginners in the legal field. They are also suitable for legal professionals eg civil code lawyers and notaries who have the requisite level of English.

Participants will receive a signed certificate of attendance at the end of the course.

COURSE FEES: Fees are exclusive of VAT @ 20%

Two-day course: £375 per person    

The fees include excellent lunches at a local restaurant plus the usual refreshments (constant mineral water and three servings of tea / coffee) each day. Participants based and working outside UK may not be liable to UK VAT.

DISCOUNTS: substantial discounts are available eg for former Lexacom participants and members of some associations and for block bookings (two or more bookings in one transaction for one or more participants).

 

FIF PL for French residents 

Reimbursement of part of the course fee from FIF PL may be possible for French residents (the cost of the lunches and refreshments has to be deducted): an application may need to be made to FIF PL well in advance of the course date.

SKYPE COURSES (participants need only the basic membership of Skype to join a course)

Three courses in January, 2016: FOUR participants per course
Each course will consist of two sessions of two hours each for a max. of four participants.

CPD: Members of ITI and CIOL may be able to claim CPD points.
 
 
 
 
COURSE FEES: £100 per person PLUS VAT @ 20% where applicable:
A 20% discount is offered on bookings of two or three courses.
Participants based and working outside UK may not be liable to UK VAT
 
FIF PL for French residents
Reimbursement of the course fee from FIF PL may be possible for French residents but they are advised to check in advance with FIF PL as to their eligibility, the eligibility of the course, and the specific requirements.
